if i were you i would concentrate on one thing for a week, watch how it moves. then go from there. try the euro or the pound, or the dow. something with nice movements and trades hard.

Hi Otter,

I would suggest the YM too (Dow). And then maybe the stocks which we list here daily, this will narrow it down for you and they are often movers - Our daily watchlists (Stock Watch) rarely have more than 2 or 3 stocks on, so it will give you something to look at during the live trading market, along with your YM which can be your staple watcher. We will also be posting charts on these some days, so will give you more of an insight (we´ll try doing this daily from now on, on our Stock Watch List).

Learn how to trade the YM and you´ll go far. Its slow (ish) trendy and very liquid during trading hours (9.30am - 1600pm) - It also trades out of hours if you want to watch then too..

If you follow the Stock Watch List daily, it will give you some indications of how these stocks move, but be aware they are not stocks like Apple or others you will know of, they are small companies and often have very low volume until we pick them up.

MonkeyTrader posted some charts a couple of weeks ago, to show some breakouts... Have a look at these, and look for similar patterns, watch how they repeat again and again.. :D And keep coming back for our updated charts in the stocks forum.

MonkeyTraders Chart Post - viewtopic.php?f=22&t=67

Thanks.

Thanks MonkeyTrader and BonTrade, had already a look at Monkeys Chart and printed it out.

I will definitely visit the daily Stock Watch List in the future, had a quick peek and noticed its the AENY stock again as in Monkeys Chart...will watch it today.

The thing you need to remember is that AENY was moving when Monkey posted it, while it was active then it does not mean to say that it will be active today. It is however one to watch, if you want to - see what it does !

(As you pointed out, it was on the list again yesterday, but that was actually a short watch really - especially as Tim had shorted it the day before that).

The main point about Monkeys chart was that it was a pattern to look for... The "Breakout" pattern.

These stocks are low value and can lay dormant, we play them when they are active which sometimes can only last for hours or a few days........

So, chart the daily watchlist (which will be sent to you daily automatically, if you "subscribe to that forum") and look for similar patterns on those stocks. Today's watch list will be available shortly.

PS. There are lots of different patterns. Tims DVDs do give these concisely.

Thanks.

its ok to watch a few things, but you need to remember that the YM will move totally different to these stocks off the watchlist - breakouts occur in a similar fashion sometimes (after a sideways move), but the YM will whip it a lot more (whipping up and down).

it is one of the easiest futures to follow though.

I´ve been watching the YM too. Gotta say, there are interesting patterns there, or so I thought, until I took some big losses recently. Need to get some help if anyone can, what to do next, how to move forward ?

Otter. Hows yours been going ?

Big enough for him to not post again by the looks of it. Shame that people get into it so quickly and just throw their money away
