WTI Crude Price Broke US$50/bbl
A key theme in the commodity sector and global economic developments in 2014 – selloff in crude oil prices – persists as we enter 2015. Both WTI and Brent crude prices slumped to the lowest levels since 2009 as global supply continue to increase much faster than demand. The front-month contract for WTI crude oil dived to as low as 49.68 before ending the day at 50.04, down -5.03%.
