VTB Capital analyst Andrey Kryuchenkov said oil prices had rallied on the back of the weak US dollar in light trading volumes. Wednesday&#8217;s oil price gains were pared after the US government&#8217;s Department of Energy announced that crude inventories rose by 2.9 million barrels in the week ending March 26. Market expectations had been for a gain of 2.1 million barrels.
