Brent oil prices open Wednesday’s trading session hovering around $93 a barrel after a near $2 drop yesterday afternoon on profit taking and a stronger US dollar, as seen by movements in the ICE US Dollar Index.<\/p>\n

Latest Brent Oil Price<\/strong><\/p>\n

In London, Brent crude oil futures for February 2011 delivery was trading at $93.09, 09.15 GMT this morning on the ICE Futures Exchange.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the ICE Dollar Index, which tracks the US dollar against six major world currencies opened the session at 79.56.<\/p>\n

The US dollar rallied broadly against most of its major counterparts after the Federal Reserve acknowledged that the recent economic rebound should continue, which saw oil futures and other commodity prices retreat.<\/p>\n
