Diverging forces pushed oil prices to different directions yesterday, resulting in little price change at close. On one hand, the DOE\/EIA reported a surprising increase in crude oil inventory by 2.95 mmb with Cushing stock pushing to a new record high of 41.89M bpd in the week ended March 25. Meanwhile, President Obama said the US must target to reduce oil imports by one third over 10 years. On the other hand, Libya's government forces were reported of repelling rebel forces, raising worries that disruption in oil supply will persist.<\/p>\n
