Oil prices rallied despite a rather quiet trading session yesterday. Brent crude prices rose above 120 for the first time since August 2008 as tensions in Libya continued, threatening prolonged disruption in oil output. In Japan, radiation problems persisted and the government said it may take months to stop the leak. Gold moved steadily around recent high levels. More dovish comments from Fed members since late last week helped support the metal. As the debate between hawks and doves intensified, the Fed is expected to leave interest rates unchanged at exceptionally low levels and maintain QE2 until its expiry in June.<\/p>\n
