Financial markets declined in Asian session on Tuesday as rising inflation fueled worries over economic growth. Oil prices declined with the front-month contract for WTI crude oil fell almost -1% to 111.20. The contract rose to a new 31-month high of 113.48 yesterday before ending the day flat at 112.28. Brent crude also climbed initially but the contract reversed after faltering below 125.00. In the precious metal complex, gold surged to a fresh record high of 1519.2 before settling as 1509.1, up +0.35%. Silver rallied to 49.82 but then reversed gains and closed at 47.15, up +2.37%.<\/p>\n
