Gold prices have fallen more than 14 percent this year. Gold, often touted as the most trustworthy of investments, has looked wild over the past month. After starting April above $1,600 an ounce, it dropped below $1,361 on April 15 and has steadily recovered to settle at $1,436 on Friday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>US Job Figures<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last week, the American Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the US economy added 165,000 nonfarm payrolls in April, up from 138,000 in March, whose figure was revised up from 88,000.
