Crude oil prices were mixed with the WTI contract softening modestly while Brent crude gaining during the day. Production in Libya remained worrisome as the western oil fields remained shut a week after the Government indicated that protests had ended. Although Russia stated that its military forces had been ordered to withdraw from Ukraine's border, EU nations remained cautious and a draft statement from the European Commission suggested that stress test should be done to assess the the impact of a loss of Russian energy supplies.<\/p>\n
