Organization Objective\/Purpose: This position reports to the SVP, Fixed Income and is part of the Investment Management Services group. The organization is dedicated to providing the fixed income products, services and advice that clients and the advisors who serve them need.<\/p>\n

Brief Description of Role: This position will lead a team of Fixed Income Traders responsible for CDs, retail notes, agencies and structured products. Additionally, the position will head up the 'client-focused' side of Fixed Income Trading, including managing a sales trader function responsible for proactively reviewing Schwab's inventory and reaching out to Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), as well as manage the Fixed Income liaison desk. The position will be part of the fixed income leadership team and will have coverage for the risk trading group when the VP of risk trading is away.<\/p>\n

A large part of the responsibilities will be making sure Schwab is in compliance with the rapidly changing regulatory landscape. The VP will be responsible for trade execution, financial reporting, partner relationships and looking for efficiency in the way we serve clients.<\/p>\n

Technical\/FunctionalQualifications: The position requires an understanding of market risk, credit risk and operational risk inherent in trading solutions. Additionally, the position will be responsible for formulating and then executing a sales trader strategy for the Fixed Income organization, requiring astute judgment, outstanding interpersonal and influence skills, and focused drive and initiative to overcome obstacles and deliver Fixed Income solutions to RIAs with varying levels of sophistication.<\/p>\n

The position requires outstanding management and leadership capabilities as the position will need to interact with partners in Investor Services, Advisor Services, Compliance and Legal in order to be successful.<\/p>\n

The position requires Securities Licenses 7, 24 and 53.<\/p>\n
