Japan’s Nikkei 225 index rose today as the country’s ruling coalition has won the majority in parliamentary elections. Prime Minister Abe’s Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) will govern with the Komeito party as they together won 325 seats out of 475. The main opposition party, the Democratic Party of Japan, won 73 seats, an increase of 11.<\/p>\n
