With disappointment of the Doha meeting quickly dissipated, oil prices strengthened with both crude benchmarks settling above US$40\/bbl. The front-month WTI contract rose for the first time in 5 days, gaining +3.27% and closing at 41.08. The Brent contract, after declining over the past 4 days, added +2.61% and closed at 44.03.
