Exciting opportunity for a dynamic and talented technologist. Candidate will be part of the technology team that supports market connectivity for a real-time automated bonds electronic trading environment. Candidate will be co-located with traders on the trading floor.<\/p>\n

He\/she will be responsible for understanding and supporting existing technology while designing and implementing new Projects. Candidate is also expected to participate in Independent testing of components developed by other developers in the team.<\/p>\n

Production support is an integral part of this position and the candidate must exhibit a strong service-oriented attitude and diligence in supporting the mission critical trading environments<\/p>\n

Requirements Technical requirements:
---------------------------------
\u2022 minimum 7 years Java language experience with predominantly server side development, solid experience with Unix based systems, shell scripting
\u2022 significant architectural capability, track record for designing and building reliable distributed architectures
\u2022 extensive experience with messaging based infrastructures and Direct experience with Tibco RV \/ EMS \/ Hawk highly desirable
\u2022 experience with FIX messaging
\u2022 experience in D2C interaction with implementation experience in coding to the APIs of various Electronic Commerce Network (ECN) like TradeWeb\/MarketAxess\/BondDesk\/BondPoint\/MuniCenter etc.
\u2022 experience with various real-time Bloomberg Protocols
\u2022 experience in D2D interaction with various Credit Brokers is a big plus
\u2022 strong knowledge of databases and performance impact of various data access operations invoked from a JDBC client
\u2022 some experience with GUI development with either Java Swing or web-based GUI development
\u2022 experience with C# and C++ \/ .net will be added advantage<\/p>\n

Business requirements:
---------------------------------
\u2022 Understanding of fixed income markets required; more sophisticated knowledge a plus
\u2022 Experience with electronic trading
\u2022 Knowledge of corporate bond market a plus<\/p>\n

Other requirements:
---------------------------
\u2022 Easygoing and amenable personality
\u2022 Must be able to be position himself for both production support and development roles at the same time
\u2022 Must be able to be a part of early morning 7:00 am rotational production support
\u2022 Able to operate in a trading desk environment, working closely with very active traders
\u2022 Must have a bias for fast and effective delivery of technology <\/p>\n
