Commodities Firm in Asian Session as The Eurozone Agreed on a Proposal to Help Greece

Crude oil initially surged to 81.48 as driven by strength in US and European stock markets, encouraging US jobless claims and the Fed's assertion of the low-rate policy. However, gains were pared as the dollar rebounded. The benchmark contract ended the day flat at 80.53. Today in Asia, trading in crude oil remains soft but still manages to hold above 80.
