Most commodities jumped but then lost upward momentum in NY session. Energies and base metals gained while precious metals’ performance was mixed. WTI crude jumped to 78.51 before settling at 76.8, up +2.25%, while heating oil and gasoline added +1.96% and +2.24% respectively. Natural gas soared for a second day by +3.86%. Aluminum (+3.59%) and tin (+0.85%) were correspondingly the best and worst performer yesterday.
