Weekly Fundamental Outlook for Energies and Metals - Crude Traded with Great Volatility but Lacked Direction

Commodity prices continued to be directed by macroeconomic development last week. Prices were boosted by the PBOC's statement to allow more flexibility in RMB before sliding after disappointing economic data. Towards the end of the week, commodities rallied as the dollar declined. Reuter/ Jefferies CRB Index ended the week at 265.61, up +1.02%, while USD index settled at 85.31, down -0.44%.
