Investors Liquidate 'Anti-USD' Trades ahead of FOMC Meeting
Investors' profit-taking on anti dollar trades led to declines in risky assets and a strong rebound in USD. Wall Street fluctuated between gains and losses throughout the day. While headline readings in consumer confidence, chain store sales and Richmond Fed index came in stronger than expected, the details were not as encouraging. Together with mixed corporate earnings results house price indices, DJIA and S&P 500 ended the day with little changes, closing at +0.05% and +0.00%, respectively.
