Market Sentiment Damped by Macroeconomic, Geopolitical Issues
Several issues have pressured financial markets. Escalated tensions on the Korean peninsula, China' acceleration in tightening measures and haunting sovereign crisis in the Eureopan periphery have triggered selling in equities, commodities and currencies against the US dollar. Wall Street is expected to weaken as it opens after Thanksgiving holiday. Concerning the commodity sector, WTI crude oil price for January delivery slipped to as low as 83.08 while the benchmark gold contract dipped to 1364.1 in European session.
