Crude Inventory Gained Less than Expected

Total crude oil and petroleum products stocks declined for the first time in 6 weeks, down -8.39 mmb to 1069.70 mmb in the week ended February 11. Crude oil inventory added +0.86 mmb to 345.92 mmb. While this was the 5th consecutive weekly increase in crude inventory, the magnitude was markedly lower than previous gains. Stock-builds in Midwest, Rocky Mountain and West Coast were partly offset by draws in East Coast and Gulf Coast.
