It’s a risk off day with the focus of sovereign crisis shifting to Italy. Wall Street slumped with the DJIA and S&P 500 indices slipping more than -1%. European shares tumbled with bourses declining 1-3%. In the commodity sector, oil prices remained under pressure amid growth uncertainties as well as intensified debt problems in the European periphery. The front-month contract for WTI crude oil fell to a 1-week low of 94.32 while the equivalent Brent crude contract slid to as low as 115.67.
