Cautiously Awaiting Stress Test Results
Oil moved with a soft tone as investors await the stress test results by the European Banking Authority. Market sentiment remained cautious amid worries that the results will show that the banking system in the region is even weaker than feared. WTI crude oil for August delivery traded within a narrow range of 95/96.5 throughout the day. Brent crude for September delivery eased a tad but remained supported about 115. Gold pulled back on profit-taking after striking a new record high of 1594.9.
