Choppy Trading Remains...
Financial markets continued the volatile trading yesterday with rumors, data and M&A sending asset prices up and down. Wall Street initially traded higher as Warren Buffet announced a $5B investment in Bank of America. Gains were, however, reversed as initial jobless claims surprisingly increased last week. Bourses were also weighed down by fears that German authorities were looking to impose a ban on short-selling and that German government debt would be downgraded.
