Weekly Fundamentals - Financial Markets Determined by Central Bank Decisions
Financial markets were in a weak tone last week as driven by disappointing economic data. Another focus was central bank meetings with the BOJ announcing aggressive measures but the BOE and ECB standing on the status quo. The US employment report was released on Friday. Non-farm payrolls increased +88K in March, weaker than consensus of a +190K addition and an upwardly revised +268K increase in the previous month. The unemployment rate was, however, slipped modestly to 7.7% from 7.6% in February.
