Financial Markets Tumbled on Boston Marathon Explosions
Market sentiment was dampened after an act of terrorism in Boston together with weaker than expected US economic data. Wall Street slumped with the DJIA and the S&P 500 indices losing -1.79% and -2.30% respectively. Commodities also tumbled. The front-month contract for WTI crude oil prices plunged to as low as 86.06 before recovering to 86.06 at close, down -2.99% for the day.
