Sentiment Picked Up as Expectations of Fed's Tapering of QE Dampened

Wall Street climbed gradually higher after a brief drop in the morning session as US economic data impressed and speculations of Fed's tapering of QE appeared to have dampened. The DJIA gained +1.21% and the S&P 500 index added +1.48%. In the commodity sector, crude oil prices also strengthened by improving economic data with the WTI and Brent crude contract rising +0.84% and +0.51% respectively.
