Crude Oil Soared as Iranian Talks Faltered, Libyan Tensions Escalated
We had little news yesterday as the US was the Veterans’ Day holiday. Crude oil prices gained moderately as Chinese import demand climbed higher and negotiation between P5+1 and Iran yielded little results. The front-month contract for WTI crude oil rose to a 3-day high of 95.38 before settling at 95.14, up +0.58%, while Brent crude contract rose for a second consecutive day, jumping to a 6-day high of 106.56 before ending the day at 106.56, up +1.37%. Gold remained under pressure with the benchmark Comex contract weakening for 3 days in a row.
