Weekly Fundamentals - WTI-Brent Spread Narrowed Markedly on Extreme Weather and Alleviation of Oversupplies at Cushing

Crude oil prices gained last week with the front-month WTI contract rising +2.41% and the Brent contract up +1.31%. The WTI-Brent spread narrowed to a level not seen for at least 2 months as the former was supported by extreme weather in the US, the start of a Keystone pipeline, as well as a bullish IEA report.
