Risk Appetite Rises Modestly as Russia Ends Military Drill in the West

Safe-haven demand damped as Russia ends its military exercises and orders troops involved in Western Russia back to base. Although Russia still has 16K troops deployed in Crimea, the move is interpreted as a means to ease tensions between East and West as Russia sent forces to the Crimean region of Ukraine. Yet, geopolitical tensions are by no means over.
