Crude oil prices declined with the benchmark contract evaporating all the gains made in June amidst tensions in Iraq. Investors were more relieved as the tensions have not affected oil production in the region. They were also less concerned about oil supply as some Libyan ports re-opened and the Sharara oil field resumed operations.
