Peripheral Eurozone Dampened Sentiment

With the US market closed for Memorial Day holiday, the focus was on Europe. Yet, sentiment in the Eurozone was downbeat, driven by heightened uncertainties in peripheral countries, in particular Greece and Spain. Stoxx 600 ended the day -0.29% lower. Bourses in Italy and Greece were down -2.1% and -3.1% respectively.
