Mixed US Data Raised Uncertainty for Fed's September Rate Hike

Mixed US data supported precious metals, in spite of firmer US dollar and equities. Whilst the NAHB housing index showed strength, the Empire State manufacturing index fell quite sharply, raising concerns over the US recovery momentum and the impacts of US dollar on growth.
