Fed left Rates Unchanged but Turned More Dovish

Upbeat sentiment following Fed's announcement proved to be short-lived. This was because the Fed delivered a more dovish outlook amidst global financial market uncertainties. The Fed left unchanged the policy rate at 0.125% in September. Yet, policymakers showed concerns over the negative impacts of the recent global financial market volatility, as well as rapid slowdown in China and other emerging markets, on growth and inflation outlook.
