Risk appetite softened a tad last Friday after Fed Chair Janet Yellen’s relatively more hawkish comments in the Jackson Hole symposium. As Yellen suggested, “in light of the continued solid performance of the labor market and our outlook for economic activity and inflation”, the case for a rate hike this year has “strengthened in recent months”. She stressed that any rate hike would be gradual.
