Weekly Fundamentals - Peaking Chinese Growth Weighed on Energy and Base Metal Prices
A stronger-than-expected payrolls report in the US lifted sentiment across the board, assisting energy and base metal prices to stabilize after massive selloff. The number of nonfarm payrolls surprising rose +211K in April, up from consensus of a +185K addition and the downwardly revised +79K increase. Total payrolls in March and April increased +290K, compared with +283K as originally expected.
