The price of Gold for June delivery reached a new several year record high price of $1750.90, as of 13:00 EST, and rising. The spot price of gold is trading higher by nearly $45/oz to just under $1,700/oz price. The spread from June Gold Futures Contract vs the quoted spot gold price, remains at over $60/oz:

At one point this morning, during a 15-minute period: over $2.2-Billion in June gold contracts launched the price higher by over $20 an ounce, helping to send its way higher towards $1,800:
