A national wealth management firm is currently searching for qualified candidates for a Bond Trader position located in Kansas City.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for all fixed income trading execution and settlement, including corporates, municipals, governments and CDs.
- Work with wealth advisors to find fixed income solutions for client’s portfolios.
- Monitor fixed income positions for any deterioration in credit or other significant events.
- Manage commercial paper program by reviewing underlying collateral daily as well as managing the trading process involved with that.
- Ad hoc requests for fixed income reporting such as bond pricing, returns, and credit analysis.
- Expect the individual to create efficiencies and build out processes where needed to support growth of the firm.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- MBA in finance, economics or related study preferred; or working towards CFA designation; Bachelors degree required.
- 3-5 years of experience trading fixed income, with knowledge of the corporate and municipal bond market. Prior experience working with an RIA is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills as well as familiarity using Bloomberg.
- Exceptional time management with the ability to effectively complete multiple assignments at once
- Strong analytical, comprehension and problem solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
- Independent and self-driven individual capable of big picture conceptualization and problem solving
