Oil prices recovered in European session as planned protests in Iran raised worries about oil supply disruption. The front-month contract for WTI crude oil climbed higher to 97.5 after falling to as low as 96.37. Precious metals remained strong with the benchmark Comex gold contract soaring to 1420, the highest level since January 3, and silver contract surging to a new 31-month high.
