Financial Markets Dropped as US Debt Concerns Remained

Financial markets slipped amid concerns over a shutdown of the US government and mixed economic data. Wall Street dropped with the DJIA and the S&P 500 indices losing -0.40% and -0.27% respectively. In the commodity sector, crude oil trading was rather volatile with the front-month WTI contract initially rebounding to as high as 1039.6 before settling at 1026.6, down -0.46%.
