World leaders imposed further sanctions against Russia after its annexation of Crimea. While UK’s Prime Minister David Cameron confirmed that there would be no G-8 meeting in Russia this year, US’ Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes stated that the international community sought to “send a message that we’re not done with building out the types of sanctions that we would impose on Russia for its actions”.
