Crude Recovers as Traders Shifted Focus to Copper

Copper got its biggest one-day slumped in more than 3 years on Wednesday, after World Bank downgraded the world growth forecast and in particular warned of a "disorderly slowdown" in China. The LME contract for 3-month delivery plunged to a 2009-low of 5353.25 before ending the day at 5510, down -5.32%.
