Weekly Fundamentals - Bearish Outlook in Gold Remains

Gold gained for the first time in 6 weeks with the benchmark Comex contract adding +0.86%. Yet, the metal continued to hover around the lows not seen since 2010. We retain our bearish view over the metal based on the belief that the 3 main factors affecting gold price, namely real interest rate, US dollar and safe haven demand, do not bold well for the yellow metal.
