The Fixed Income Trading group at this major financial institution in the Charlotte, NC market is looking for responsible and knowledgeable traders with strong fixed income trading experience to assist clients and financial advisors manage their fixed income portfolio needs as well as assist in the execution of order flow. The position requires product support for Municipals, Treasury, Agency, BCDs, and Corporate bonds. Responsibilities include executing or rejecting fixed income orders, sourcing and disseminating sales ideas for financial advisors, monitoring and sourcing pricing on Bid and Offer Wanted’s requests, developing and maintaining street-side Fixed Income relationships, interacting with service and sales staff, monitoring external ATS offerings for appropriate pricing and descriptions, processing work orders within trader review status electronically for price improvements, watching aged items and shorts, handling all trade problems/settlement breaks, call contra parties, and liaison with operations.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
* 2+ years of fixed income trading experience and a minimum of 5 +years experience within the financial services industry
* Strong knowledge of a cross-section of Fixed Income asset classes (Muni, Corporate Treasuries, Agencies, FINR)
* Series 7 required.
