PEAK6 is currently seeking experienced traders to join our Chicago-based team. Ideal candidates will have outstanding theoretical and practical knowledge of trading options combined with the willingness to learn and the ability to educate. The anticipated start date for this class of newly hired traders is expected to begin in February 2011.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
* Engage in daily trading of volatility related products using proprietary trading systems
* Identify and capture opportunities; research and introduce new trading strategies
* Monitor and manage riskJob Requirements:
* At least 2+ years of experience trading volatility related products
* 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry
* Bachelors degree from an accredited University
* Ability to effectively use technology, research and market intelligence in day-to-day trading
* Expert knowledge of the relevant options pricing and strategies, as well as configuring and monitoring automated system
* Previous experience working in a highly competitive and dynamic environment
* The ability to work independently, self motivated, and proactive in achieving individual and team objectives
* Must have analytical skills and an inquisitive mind
* Must be entrepreneurial in nature
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Highest ethical standards
