E*TRADE Financial is looking for a product management professional with a strong background in market data and analytics, and with experience in the brokerage industry. The product manager will be expected to be a subject matter expert on concerns related to market data messaging and the gateways that consume the messaging. The product manager will provide leadership and management of cross functional teams to complete assignments whilst liasing with both the business and technology to deliver innovative solutions.
This position will be responsible for developing business requirements and managing product development life cycle primarily on US, Global securities as well as Active Trader applications. Candidate must be highly motivated, extremely well organized and have excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
– Manage project development life cycle from conception to implementation.
– Prioritize competing product features to get the best value for customers.
– Develop business requirement and functional specification documents based on industry knowledge, market research, and customer feedback.
– Interact closely with other product managers, technology development, design, marketing, compliance, customer service, and trading teams.
– Build and work closely with multiple vendors to service the many market data needs of all of E*Trade’s US Retail business
– Demonstrate ownership and sense of urgency in resolving inquiries and issues.
Requirements Qualifications
– 3+ years of product management experience in the brokerage industry.
– Skilled at defining business and functional requirements for technology projects.
– Good understanding of equity and options markets.
– Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and work against multiple deadlines.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Adaptable to dynamic work environments and priorities.
– Ability to synthesize business and technology perspectives and communicate effectively to all audiences.
– An energetic person with a unique blend of active trader product knowledge and technical savvy.
