The primary purpose of this position is to conceptualize and design site functionality for our customer facing site and all back-end operational functions. Requirements
Technical Skills:
* Excellent PHP programming skills with minimum of 5+ years experience.
* 1-2 years experience with CakePHP framework, version 1.3 preferred.
* Excellent SQL skills 2+ years MySQL.
* Some experience with Ruby/Capistrano a plus.
* Commercial experience in Web Application development and / or software development is desirable.
* Experience with Linux server administration preferably Fedora.
* Experience of object oriented programming (OOP) / modular programming is essential.
* Experienced in CMS development and ecommerce web applications.
* Skilled in CSS and XHTML, concerned in the latest web standards.
* Excellent Javascript + AJAX skills preferably jQuery
* Ability to translate business requirements into system design, testing and delivery is essential.
Experience Required:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or commensurate work experience
* Outstanding communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a project team as well as independently
* Must be organized, very detail-oriented, accurate and have ability to meet deadlines
* Must be self-disciplined with effective time management abilities, and able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
* Experience in delivering commercially successful projects within a web environment.
* Strong organizational, presentation and communication skills
* Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, XP).
* Experience of source code control, experience with GIT preferred.
* Experience with software release management.
* The ability and willingness to travel anywhere in the US as required.
