    Longview Trading System Business Analyst

    What you need for this position:

    -Must have had hands-on experience with the LongView trade order management/compliance management tool, which is now owned by the vendor “Linedata”.
    -Need to be able to use the LongView tool’s application facilities to code out the compliance rules.
    -Commitment to long term contract.
    -Local travel required at times.

    What you’ll be doing:

    -The Trade Support Analyst’s role is to provide front line user support to the Portfolio Managers/Brokers in the PM discretionary program in support of the key applications. The Analyst serves as a liaison among Portfolio Managers/Brokers, Middle Office, Operations and Technology.
    Responsibilities Include:
    • Support users of Private Bank trading platform: Longview Trading System
    • Resolving phone and e-mails inquiries regarding trading, data quality issues, application usage, and other miscellaneous items.
    • Ensuring the accurate and timely escalation and resolution of all inquiries.
    • Addressing ad hoc queries from operations, technology, and the front office.
    • Participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases for defect fixes, enhancements, and other strategic initiatives.
    • Facilitating application set up and training for all new application users.
    • Working with the business, technology, and operations to determine priorities, schedule of releases, and writing specifications

    Responsibilities
     
  • Responsible for the support of the Trade Order Management System, as well as the interface programs. Resolve system issues utilizing internal MIS or external vendor resources as appropriate. Conduct user training as needed.
  • Manage projects that facilitate improvements in workflow processes. Liaison between Back Office, Operations, MIS and end users.
  • Maintain system files by setting up and closing accounts, adding new securities and brokers, etc. Develop internal procedures and train system administrator backup.
  • Participate in other duties as assigned by management.
  •  
     Requirements
     
  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA and/or CFA a plus.
  • Three years operations, trading or other industry related experience
  • One year experience in a training or system support role
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to ensure successful results when assisting users of varying knowledge levels
  • Strong results orientation
  • Concern for quality expresses by continually initiating system and process improvements
  • Thorough understanding of the Investment Management business
