    Foreign Exchange Specialist.  Full-time.  Responsibilities will include all activities associated with processing and settling all foreign exchange transactions for the bank.

    The responsibilities will include all activities associated with processing and settling all foreign exchange transactions for the bank. In addition to transaction processing and settling, the position will also include confirmations, reconciliations, investigations, risk, credit reporting, and problem resolution. Responsibilities will include maintaining lines of communication with Correspondent Banks where nostros and settlement occurs and participation in the organization’s initiative implementing new projects/systems as well as continuous improvement. The candidate must also possess the ability to document procedures as well as work well with a team.

    Fast-paced environment with aggressive growth targets.

     Requirements Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree. 

      Other Traits and Characteristics:

      • Advanced degree, preferred
      • Aptitude to understand the products offered by the Foreign Exchange Group
      • Ability to interact effectively with traders, service partners, counterparts, and clients. 
      • Detail-oriented and the ability to perform effectively in a high volume, deadline oriented environment.
      • Previous experience with Systems or Operations will be highly considered. 
      • Working knowledge of the foreign exchange market; how they operate and impact the client, a plus. 
      • The candidate must be willing to build bridges, work well with key support areas including technology, systems and the bank’s wire operations.
      • Above average working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.

      Salary Grade 70

      State Street Global Markets Currency Management Team is currently seeking a person to join the Currency Management Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day rebalancing of client portfolios, execution of trades, and reporting of daily activity. Experience in the FX Markets with a focus on various trading methods is required. Candidate must be familiar with various trading strategies (VWAP, TWAP, etc.) and liquidity concerns in the FX Markets (sourcing best liquidity, spreads, etc.). Knowledge of algorithmic trading strategies and various other electronic trading methods is desired.

      The successful candidate will demonstrate an acute attention to detail and have an error-free track record. He/She should also have a general understanding of investment management activities and of the institutional investor client base. He/She will have a strong desire to learn, appreciate the importance of meeting deadlines and be extremely self motivated.

      The successful candidate should have the ability to work within a dynamic environment and interact efficiently with other team members. Additionally, a keen focus on client relationships and customer service is extremely important.


      Requirements

      Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s in Finance, MBA, or CFA preferred or working towards)
      3+ years experience in FX Trading

      Skills/Knowledge
      Proven FX Trading skills
      Knowledge of the Foreign Exchange Business and Markets
      Superior skills in MS Office (specifically Excel, Access and Word).
      Knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters, EBS, and various electronic trading platforms preferred

      The FX Trader will be responsible for the day to day risk management analytics regarding Global Foreign Exchange (FX) and Global Debt Portfolio. This position is responsible for recommending and executing FX and interest rate trades. The will also be responsible for identifying and establishing financial policies to minimize risk and maximize performance.

      Dimensions:

      Responsible for assisting in the realignment of the global FX and interestrate hedging reporting structure
      Work collaboratively with the Senior Manager, Global FX & Interest Rates in the role of risk advisor in the creation of risk management policies, analytical models, analysis and recommendations to senior management.
      Understand all global events that affect the FX and interest rate environment, economic trends, governmental actions and geo-political events
      Validates and ensures consistent use of FX and Interest Rate derivatives
      Trading FX and Interest Rate derivatives on behalf of all Company
      Assists with other Treasury responsibilities as needed

      Skills required:

      Bachelors degree
      7-10 years experience in treasury with an understanding of capital markets
      Trading experience is required
      Understanding of Accounting
      Understanding of Economics and impacts of financial markets
      Understanding of statistics and quantitative analysis is preferred
      Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

      Education

      A bachelor’s degree is required.
