An International Bank is seeking an experienced Foreign Exchange Trader. Person will conduct proprietary trading in FX, process and execute OTCFX options, plus gold and silver commodities for Bank’s clients. Process and hedge foreign currency, assets and liabilities for the Bank. Develop FX hedging structures for clients. Provide timely pricing for branches and representative offices, plus Private Banking. Train/supervise junior FX traders. Process FX Spot Forwards and Options. Develop customer relationships, plus new foreign currency products, structures and derivatives for clients. Train other Bank departments in FX, improve relationships with market banks and provide media commentaries. Person will interact directly with commercial/retail clients, department managers, supervisors and branches, write letters/memos, press releases, articles and participate in group meetings.
Requirements
Required: BA/BS Degree, plus3- 5+ years of relevant banking experience. Required product knowledge: FX trading, metal commodities, securities, deposit related products, finance/accounting, Bank’s product lines, business development, profitability/financial analysis, debt securities, financial planning, budgeting, country risk, selling and investment management.

SENIOR FX TRADER
Senior foreign exchange professional responsible for delivering the full range of foreign exchange products including the recommendation and execution of hedging strategies based on client needs. Executes FX trades for clients in the interbank market and covers the resulting exposure to generate fee income for the bank. Works closely with Product Advisors and SRMs to leverage FX sell opportunities. A thought leader in FX issues. Educates clients on FX issues. Train junior traders. Manages FX workload related to a division or a product.
Job Complexity:
Handles a wide range of current and new relationships. Handles the most complex transactions and client situations. Closes new FX business, wins FX business from competitors and increases recurring business through a consultative sales approach combined with excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Educates clients on the basics of FX, understands their needs, analyses exposure, and advises FX strategies to hedge and achieve global treasury management objectives. On the trading side, identifies and manages our client’s FX risks arising from the trading desk’s daily flows. Understands market liquidity, volatility and pricing.
Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
*10 or more years of experience in trading and/or FX sales.
*Comprehensive understanding of the functions of FX markets and other global treasury products as well as overall bank products and services.
*Money centered bank exposure preferred.
